Classification and Type Selection of scotch yoke pneumatic actuator

In industry, the actuators we often mention are divided into three categories: scotch yoke pneumatic actuator and electric and hydraulic actuators because of their different working principles. Now let's talk about how to choose these types in the process of using them.
Pneumatic actuator is a kind of actuator. Pneumatic actuators can also be divided into two types: single-acting and double-acting: the switch action of actuators is driven by air source, called DOUBLE ACTING (double-acting). The switching action of SPRING RETURN (single action) is driven by air source only, while the spring is reset when switching action.
* Air pressure or power supply voltage of actuator.
* Types of actuators are double-acting or single-acting (spring reset) and output torque at a given gas source or rated voltage.
* The steering of the actuator and the failure mode (failure on or off) are very important to select an actuator correctly. If the actuator is too large, the valve stem may be too stressed. On the contrary, if the actuator is too small, the side cannot generate enough torque to operate the valve adequately. Generally speaking, we believe that the torque required to operate the valve comes from the friction between the metal parts of the valve (such as the ball core, disc) and the seals (seat). According to the valve application situation, operating temperature, operating frequency, pipeline and pressure difference, flow medium (lubrication, drying, mud), many factors affect the operating moment.
