Dual-acting pneumatic actuator:
Dual-acting pneumatic actuator is that when the valve is ventilated, the pneumatic actuator starts to turn and open the valve. When the valve is closed, the other side of the valve is ventilated to close. It is reset by the cylinder, and can only remain in position when the air source is lost. Simply speaking, when you give air, the pneumatic actuator starts to turn and open the valve. When the valve is closed, the other side needs air supply. Close! And the single function is to turn on the gas if you give it, and turn off automatically if you don't give it.
Dual-acting cylinder has no spring, so the cost is lower than that of single-acting pneumatic actuator.
Single-acting pneumatic actuator:
Single-acting pneumatic actuator opens the valve under ventilation and closes automatically without ventilation source. Single-acting pneumatic actuator restores automatically by spring. Generally, it is used more in dangerous conditions than figure to convey combustible gas or liquid.
