Question: Why does the hard-sealed butterfly valve adopt a three-eccentric structure?
Answer: 1. With three-dimensional eccentric structure, there is almost no friction between the seat and butterfly plate, which has the sealing function of tighter and tighter closure.
2. Tri-eccentric bidirectional hard-sealed butterfly valve is not installed on the valve plate with soft and hard multi-layer sealing rings, but directly installed on the valve body, and a regulating ring is added between the pressure plate and the seat. The spring fixed between the pressure plate and the regulating bolt on the pressure plate are assembled together. When counter-current is in the state, the sealing moment between the valve plate and the seat depends on the driving device to make the valve plate press towards the seat, when the reverse medium pressure is applied. When the pressure between the valve plate and the seat is greater than that between the valve plate and the seat, the spring of the regulating ring can compensate the tight pressure between the valve plate and the sealing surface of the valve seat automatically.
3.2. Triple Eccentric Butterfly Valve  is not installed on the valve plate with soft and hard multi-layer sealing rings, but directly installed on the valve body, and a regulating ring is added between the pressure plate and the seat. The spring fixed between the pressure plate and the regulating bolt on the pressure plate are assembled together. When counter-current is in the state, the sealing between the valve plate and the seat depends on the moment of the driving device to press the valve plate towards the seat, when the reverse medium pressure is applied. When the pressure between the valve plate and the seat is greater than that between the valve plate and the seat, the spring of the regulating ring can compensate the tight pressure between the valve plate and the sealing surface of the valve seat automatically.
Question: Triple Eccentric Butterfly Valve, sealing ring commonly used in three forms: PTFE/EPDM soft seal, multi-level seal, metal hard seal. What are the differences between these three kinds of working conditions?
Answer: There are three kinds of sealing rings for Triple Eccentric Butterfly Valve: PTFE, multi-level metal sealing rings and integral metal sealing rings. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seals are used at temperatures below 180 degrees and pressures not exceeding 2.5 MPa. Multi-layer metal seals have good sealing performance and can achieve zero leakage. They are suitable for use in pure liquids or gases with low medium flow rate and no particulate matter, and their temperature is generally not more than 300 degrees restricted by multi-layer sealants. The integral metal seal is used at high temperature and high pressure.
